There are two things we are really excited about right now.
In August, the littlest ladybug turned ONE!!! How exciting for us. He really loved the cake and ice cream.
This is a good thing because I made the Birthday Cake from scratch. I just really hate all of the chemicals in a cake mix, so I try to make scratch cakes as often as possible, especially for birthdays. He really enjoyed the whole experience of eating cake and ice cream.
The second cool thing being, our giant pumpkin. One of the ladybugs has produced a HUGE pumpkin!!!!!! Since he was a baby, we have grown pumpkins. And we have used them as props for such lovely pictures. But never have we ever grown such a large pumpkin. It is fit for Cinderella and should be entered into a contest.
Thank-you to our neighbour for giving us the giant pumpkin seedling. Growing pumpkins is sooo much fun!
Have you ever grown a pumpkin in your yard? Was it a giant pumpkin? If so, what are your tried and true methods of success?
