Tuesday has brought us bone chilling temperatures here in Atlantic Canada. It is currently, -11 degrees Celsius with a wind chill of -20 degrees Celsius.
So we finally got a snow day and we played outdoors in the snow & chill and are now warming up inside. How about some freshly baked peanut free cookies!!! Peanut free is a must in our household as one of the ladybugs has a peanut allergy.
These cookies are inspired by this recipe.
Chocolate Chip Blueberry Wow Butter Cookies
1 cup Wow Butter
1/3 cup margarine
1/3 cup mashed avocado (our little secret, the ladybugs don’t have to know)
1/3 cup unsweetened Blueberry Delight by Motts Fruitsations
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 cup Chocolate Chips
Mix Wow Butter, mashed avocado and unsweetened Blueberry Delight together. Add to bowl, the white and brown sugar along with eggs; mix well. Add baking soda and vanilla. Mix in flour. Add Chocolate Chips. Use your hands to roll dough into balls. Place balls on a cookie sheet and flatten with a fork. Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
Enjoy! The little ladybugs loved them. 🙂
