July garden pictures

Our privet hedge recently bloomed and has been attracting many different types of flying insects. We have seen honeybees, native bees, butterflies and more.

I’ve been climbing a ladder to get close enough to a sphinx moth who has been quite elusive. Sphinx moths are sometimes mistaken for hummingbirds because of their shape and size.

I love taking close-up pictures of nature. So I must share some of them with you.

  1. very pretty, miss my garden since we moved into an apartment but was always too busy to care for it in the last few years.

    • Gardens are so pretty but weeding can be a daunting task. I don’t stress over that stuff, I do what I can! 🙂 The wildlife thanks me for that, I think. 🙂

It's so lovely to hear from you!
